2006 in review
The 2006 season held a lot of highlights. Ran 6 different tracks. Rockford, Grundy, Illiana, Lake Geneva, Milwaukee Mile & LaCrosse. Participated in 35 events- 3 features wins, 27 top 5's & 31 top 10 finishes. Won the track championship at Grundy County Speedway with a lot of good, tough competition. Took my 1st feature win on the 1/2 mile at Illiana. Had a great time at the Milwaukee Mile, coming in 5th in the feature and 3rd in the Dash for Cash. Taking the win at Rockford's Fall Short Track Nationals was sweet.
Most disappointing run was at the Final Lake Geneva Fall Classic, running 2nd with 2 laps to go, to be blackflagged for a fluid leak that was not there.
Most challenging was the LaCrosse Oktoberfest. It was my first time there. Coming in 2nd in the feature was a thrill. (that 4th turn wall comes up awful fast!!)
Even with some racers' luck with last minute flats, engine trouble and a bad call, it still was the most rewarding season since I began racing in the Mid-American division.
To my sponsors, fans and all of the race tracks that support Short Track Racing, THANK YOU. You make it all happen.
To my pit crew, THANK YOU is not enough to say. They are few but mighty. Putting up with me & working hard to be race ready are only a few things that make them the best. I could not have done it without them.
