Mixed Results in Border Wars for Dave Gentile Jr
Channahon, Illinois (July 29, 2008)-In short track racing sometimes the
shock package you choose doesn’t work out as planned. If you miss the set up by
a little you can miss it by a lot at a track like Madison International
Speedway. Such was the case on Friday night for Dave Gentile Jr and his Goodwin
Motorsports team. “We didn’t get as much practice as we needed to dial the car
in,” said Dave Gentile Jr. “We lost a lap early but my team made all the
right moves and my car was as fast as the leaders at the end!” Dave finished
21st but the car was in one piece headed to Rockford for Saturday night. “We
were quick right off the trailer at Rockford,” said Gentile Jr. “I lost a
few spots at the start and that is such a tough place to pass. We had a second
place car. No one was catching Trent Snyder Saturday night!” Dave finished
fourth at the super tough Rockford quarter-mile. Two hard nights of racing
back to back and the team was happy with their results! Next up for Dave Gentile
Jr and his Goodwin Motorsports team is Dixie Motor Speedway on August 15th.
Dave will be doing double-duty that weekend and is on the verge of clinching
the USPRO title at Dixie. Support a winner just like the Chicago Regional
Council of Carpenters, Bullfrog Sunblock, WMC Inc, Hedman Headers, and Swift
